My girl started school today. Proper big-girl school with a uniform and everything. 
She skipped down the road, in her shiny new shoes and traditional pinafore, met up with her best friend and we made our way to school. She had a bit of a wobble when we first arrived, but had immersed herself into an activity by the time I left.
When I went to pick her up, a mere two hours later, she ran out, beaming, with a reading book and a drawing in her book bag. She’d been given a sticker for her neat colouring, and had spent some of the time sitting with her teacher, reading storybooks.
Best of all, she can’t wait to go back tomorrow. I love how eager she is to learn and discover. What a doll!
