Mammasaurus Gambolling in the Wild Wild Surf

Today turned out to be one of those spontaneous days.  I did not wake up this morning and think to myself, “Oh yeah! Today I am going to make a video of Mammasaurus hot footing it into the Solent.  And then nip round to her yard for a cup of coffee and a bit of cake”

And yet, that is precisely what I ended up doing.

Annie has kicked off the Blog It For Babies campaign in a moment of true mammasaurus style madness and hilarity.

I am not sure I have the words to describe her dash into the sea, so it’s fortunate that I filmed it:

We love you, Annie.  Shine on, you crazy diamond!

Mr Dog – My Favourite Childhood Toy

Mr Dog has been in my life since I was a baby.  He was a gift from my Auntie and for the last twenty-five years he has worn a knitted jumper meant for a baby (but far too scratchy).  Let me tell you, Mr Dog is awesome.

He has put up with so much shit.  Like the (more than one) occasion I lost him in Milton Keynes shopping centre.  I cried so much that my mum went back to look for him in John Lewis.  She’s a goodun, is my mum. Continue reading

Calling All Bloggers!

I need your help.

Next week, I am putting together a promo video for #BlogItForBabies, the digital part of Save The Children’s Build It For Babies campaign, to launch Mammasaurus’ week of gambolling around the country doing crazy things for charity.

So here are the details…

  1. I need you (yes, YOU) to send me a clip of you saying to camera “I blog it for babies”.  You can shoot this on your mobile phone, on your webcam, on the video function of your camera.  It can be in your house, at your computer, somewhere outside, with or without your own babies, anything goes.  Have fun with it!
  2. Upload and send your footage to hello@skysoclear.com via https://wetransfer.com/.  In the message field, please put your twitter handle and blog URL.  By way of a credit I’ll be overlaying your footage with text saying who you are.
  3. Submissions must be in by 25th April so that gives you a week to get on it!
That’s it! It’s so simple, so please please get involved, this is an important and worthwhile cause.  It’d be especially great to hear from anyone taking part and joining in with any of the planned meetups.
If you need any more information please leave me a comment and I’ll be in touch!
