The Gallery – Chilled Out

I love to spend time at the beach.  There is something incredibly calming about being that close to the sea.  Something to do with water generating negative ions.  Negative ions latch on to free radicals which purifies the atmosphere and makes us feel good.

I’m not even making that up.  That right there is actual science.  Albeit a massively simplistic and probably inaccurate explanation.  But it’s good enough for me.  All I know is that being at the beach clears my head, uplifts my mood and generally makes me feel happy and content.

In any case, one of my favourite things is to lie on the beach, in the sunshine, with my eyes closed, listening to the sound of the ocean.  And it looks like my small son quite enjoys it, too.

  1. I love the beach too, mostly out of season, when the place is quiet and you get to appreciate the sound of the waves even more – a walk on a windy autumn day is just perfect for clearing the head, and feel really away from everything
