A Baptism

Last Sunday we had a baptism.

Baby Son is no longer a heathen.  Well, he is, but you know… Only in the relentlessly getting up to mischief sense.

I think getting children baptised is a really nice thing to do.  One thing Ross and I feel pretty strongly about is giving our children choices and opportunities.  If faith and spirituality is something they don’t want to pursue, then that’s fine, it was just a splash of water, but we’ll have given them a nice introduction all the same.

So, Elliot was baptised, lots of friends and family came to watch, and we had a little party afterwards. The sun shone, we toasted Elliot with Cava, and ate a lot of cake.

A truly lovely day.  We all felt blessed.
